Interstate 275 in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area utilizes two major bridges in its 59 mile journey through the Tampa Bay metropolitan area, the Howard Frankland Bridge and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.  Of course we can't leave out the numerous overpasses and underpasses here and there.

The Howard Frankland Bridge

The Sunshine Skyway Bridge

Opened in 1987 the current Sunshine Skyway Bridge is well known for both its aesthetic as well as its majestic value.  But its history goes back to 1954 when the first Sunshine Skyway Bridge opened.  Click on the picture above or this link to learn more!
