Constructed in 1982 the eighth segment of Interstate 275 begins at Queensboro Av S and takes the highway over 22 Av S and 26 Av S, stopping temporarily at 39 Av S. Like its counterparts at 28 St S and 31 St S, both interchanges feature partial exits. 22 Av S has a double northbound entrance (for traffic coming from eastbound and westbound 22 Av S) and a single southbound exit, while 26 Av S has a southbound entrance and a northbound exit.
22 Av S takes motorists to Gulfport, South Pasadena and St. Pete Beach via Pasadena Blvd. South. The Stetson University College of Law as well as Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School is also reached at 22 Av S; however, northbound travelers can exit at 26 Av S and follow the signs to 22 Av S.
